Recover SD card files and pictures efficiently!
Digital camera uses SD card to gain high capacity storage and better transfer speed advantage. But because of electronic device it is prone to corruption and due to this reason it starts giving error messages that you cannot access your memory card and it is important to reformat it. So according to the need you can reformat your SD card either by using card reader or in the digital camera.
This is correct that reformatting the card will be helpful in resolving many problems but it will end up by simply erasing your cherished and memorable photos. But there is no other way left to resolve the problem other than formatting the SD card. After this you can restore the deleted data with the help of available backup.
Follow instruction to format SD card:
Formatting is done by using SD card reader - In this start your computer and then put the SD card in the card reader slot of the system. For this purpose you can also use external card reader. Then open the folder to view the files. If it does not open then go to my computers and right click on the drive letter for the card reader and then select the “reformat” option. Choose the 'FAT 16' option when another window pops up asking you to select a file system.
Formatting in digital camera – The steps will be followed in the digital camera to FAT 16. Insert SD card in digital camera and then switch it on. Bring the photograph option and then choose the option that says either 'Setup or Options' and then in the format tab click ok button by selecting the FAT 16 file system.
As FAT 16 is considered to be the ideal file system used for formatting but you can also change it to FAT 32 for better transfer speed. Due to formatting the problem gets resolved but the stored pictures gets deleted. For this you may use third party software known as SD Card Photo recovery . This software has powerful algorithm that performs advanced scanning of the SD card and restores the deleted pictures efficiently.
